Intro
Between July and August 2011, members of MH and friends began their “urban sampling” project called “Bai zhan tiasn long(literally 100 battles against celestial dragons)”, which uses 'integration' and 'intervention' as main keywords through the whole project. The project not only contains sound sampling, but also includes interacts(i.e. conversations and improvisations) between members and local residents. This project is not attempted to make another so-called 'soundscape' pieces that more and more Taiwanese sound artists are trying due to MH's internal rule, and contains none of political / social appeals. The only confirmed appeal is to make some 'little noise' under the myth of “Centenary” as an antithesis against nouveaux riches' values and 'high' art.

2011年七月至八月間，由兩人與朋友們共同進行一連串的『百戰天龍』聲音採集計畫。過程中使用了「融入」與「介入」兩個關鍵字作為全體的概念。到了庶民色彩較重的場所，不但去錄音，也在當地吃喝與從事小額消費，以振興地方經濟。到了所謂『天龍國』刻板印象較強的地方，例如鬧區的影城大廳、大型展場，甚至是戶外的抗議活動，也把自己的對話、演奏、屬於該場所一切的聲音全部錄下。在計畫中無意創作出當代聲音藝術界已成共識的【音景】，更沒有什麼遠大的政治與社會訴求，為的只是在歌舞昇平的「精彩一百」神話中發出一點噪音。
Bio
Guitar / power-electronic noise artist ZHANG You-Sheng reunited with multi-instrumentalist and singer HUANG Dawang (a.k.a. Yingfan) in spring 2010, several years after some of Yingfan's impressive gigs. Both of them have their recorded works released on internet. Based on the common sense of sick for “the Centenary of Republic of China”, an official long-run celebration as propaganda of any dictatorship likes to do, on the last day of 2010 they formed Minkoku Hyakunen, which is Japanese pronounciation for “The Centenary of Republic”, had their final gig on December 9, 2011 and officially disbanded on the end of year. They use methods with political thoughts in live performance instead of talking about politics or relative keywords, and mostly play pieces without stable tempo and joyful melodies, only making stupid noise.
The first release of MH, Project Integration / Intervention Into Tenryu City (Kandala Records KRAG02 / 2011)compiled by Zhang, is pressed in 300-limited copies. The second, Bai zhan tian long (Kandala Records KRAG03 / 2011)compiled by Huang, is released as free-downloadable album.

關於民国百年
在2010年相遇的張又升和黃大旺，皆有自己的噪音樂在朋友圈及網路上流通。他們厭倦大部分的政治新聞，特別是與所謂「中華民國 精彩一百」的相關報導，於是決定組一個二重奏樂團，並在民國百年結束時解散。「民国百年」取自日文漢字，發音為「Minkoku Hyakunen」，不談論政治卻在表演中加入一些政治理念；沒有穩定的節奏及愉快的曲調，只有傻瓜般快樂地演奏著噪音音樂。
由張又升編選的第一張專輯「Project Integration / Intervention Into Tenryu City(Kandala Records KRAG02 / 2011)」於九月以實體CD形式限量發行三百張。由黃大旺編選的第二張專輯「百戰天龍─裏民国百年(Kandala Records / KRAG03 / 2011)」於同年的最後一天，以網路專輯的形式公開免費下載。
